Wanchain’s Key Upcoming Releases — Proof of Stake Validator Nodes to Launch on August 20th
Final testing and preparation are in progress ahead of the mainnet launch of Wanchain Staking coming in early September
Monday, August 19th: New Products go live on mainnet — new wanchain.org website, new desktop light wallet, new explorer, and new stats website.
Tuesday, August 20th: Validators can begin setting up nodes over a two-week setup and preparation period.
August 20 — September 3 (2 weeks): Users are encouraged to Delegate their WAN to the Validators of choice before September 3rd.
Tuesday, September 3rd: Proof of Stake is officially enabled — validation and staking rewards become active. Users who have not staked their WAN at this time will not be eligible for the first round of staking rewards, but staking will be open on an ongoing basis after launch.
